  1. When are encroachment permits required?
    ​Encroachment permits are required when proposed construction encroaches into the public right-of-way.
    Encroachment permits are required for the following types of work in public right-of-way: new sidewalk construction; repair of existing sidewalks; driveway repairs; new driveway construction; repair and installation of public utilities; and placement of dumpsters. Consult with the County Site Improvement & Permits Section (SIPS) to determine if proposed work will require an improvement plan or an encroachment permit submittal.

  3. What is the turn-around time for obtaining an approved encroachment permit?
